Apple Glazed Pork Chops
Simple, quick and tasty recipe combining the classic flavor profile of pork and apples.
Ingredients
4 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (3/4" thick and 7 oz each)
2 large tart apples, sliced
1 cup apple cider or apple juice
1/2 cup sliced onion
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp brown sugar, divided
1 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp cold water
Directions
1. In a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil.
2. Add the cider, 1 tbsp brown sugar, salt, rosemary and thyme. Cover and cook for 7 - 8 min. or until a meat thermometer reads 155°.
3. Combine the corn starch and water until smooth and add to the skillet. Bring to a boil and cook and stir for 12 min. or until thickened.
4. Meanwhile, in small skillet, cook the apples, onion, butter and remaining brown sugar over medium heat for 3 - 4 min. or until apples are softened. Serve with pork chops.
