Reduced Sugar Peach Cobbler
Ingredients
1 1/4 lb frozen peaches
12 packets artificial sweetener (I prefer Splenda)
6 tbsp butter
1 cup flour
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place frozen peaches in a 8" square baking dish and allow to thaw completely.
3. Add artificial sweetener and cinnamon to the thawed peaches and mix well.
4. In a small bowl, cut butter into flour, salt and rolled oats with pastry blender. Sprinkle over peaches and stir to blend.
5. Cover and bake for 30 min. Remove cover and bake an additional 25 - 30 min. or until peaches are tender.
You can substitute 5 - 7 fresh medium peaches or any other appropriate fresh fruit in this recipe. However, the type of fruit used may affect the baking time.
