Pineapple Flambe Recipe Ideas

Pineapple Flambé
 
Ingredients
8 pineapple slices
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp brown sugar
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1 tsp coffee (ground)
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup almonds, grated and roasted
 
Directions
1. Heat butter in pan and saute pineapple on both sides slightly.
2. Add juice, sugar and coffee let simmer for a minute until slightly thickened.
3. Remove from heat, add rum, return to heat and flambe.
4. Place on dish and garnish with roasted almonds.

You can also just make a quick dump cake and forget about making an elaborately iced cake if you need to bring one to work or some other event. Dump a can of cherry pie filling and a can of pineapple tidbits into a baking pan and mix them until they're combined. Sprinkle a box of yellow cake mix over the layer of fruit, and spread it out until it is smooth. Slice a stick and a half of butter into small pats, and lay the pats of butter all over the top of the cake. Bake it in a 350-degree oven for an hour or until it's golden brown on top and bubbly. Serve it with whipped cream or ice cream.
